Sea-run Cutthroat Trout

These magnificent fish can be found year round in the waters off Whidbey Island and are particularly abundant at the northern end of the Hood Canal in the late fall and early winter. I’m Colin Flanagan,
Experienced Fishing Guide

Would you like to catch some fish in the world’s finest waters?

I’ve fished the waters around Whidbey Island all my life. For the past fifteen years I’ve explored the salt waters of the southern Salish Sea, all the way from Bellingham through Seattle to Olympia. I’ve found the secret places where wild and native sea-run cutthroat trout, salmon, and Dolly Varden all congregate, places of incredible natural beauty and places where I love to fish. As your guide, I will take you to these spots and explain the best techniques to recognize where the fish are and how to catch them.

I can’t believe how fast the fishing was, and I know you said it’s not normally like that, but wow!  The eagles, herons and sea otters were a surreal treat  Spending most of my time in the city, it was so rewarding to make the trip.  I feel refreshed and jazzed about fly fishing.  So close to home!  Thanks again.
